Last year, the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference CTY CN West agreed to proceed with an implementation of UnionWare. Their members file a lot of grievances, and their goal was to track them more efficiently. Team Pathfinder, including analyst Joel Domingo, spent the winter and spring working on this project as they converted data and streamlined their processes.
By mid-May, everything was ready to go, and a 3-person training team descended on Saskatoon for a go-live training. Two very different types of users attended the various sessions. We taught office staff and admins core Enterprise skills as well as the ins and outs of the Cases module. We then instructed their field staff on how to look up and maintain grievances from anywhere using ULink. For many reps, it was the first time they saw the software. From their hands-on input, we adjusted the system to be even more straightforward.
Halfway through the week, we loaded current and historical grievance data, including electronic documents, into UnionWare for the last time, and TCRC CTY CN West was live! Opting to host with UnionWare gave them instant and convenient access to their data from anywhere without worrying about hardware.
TCRC CTY CN West already realizes the benefits of switching to UnionWare. Powerful searching and reporting capabilities mean better insight into their data. Office and field staff alike can finally access and manage their data remotely, and divide the workflow.
As the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference become UnionWare experts, we’ll be here to help them take it to the next level.
