New Service: UnionWare Facebook Group Live
The UnionWare Facebook Group is now live for our clients and we’re excited! Why? This is yet another great resource that will allow you to stay even more connected with UnionWare. There are discussion boards that you can review, respond to or if you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can create your own. There are also photos from our various events that you will be able to browse through and who knows, you may be able to put some faces to the names you’ve heard or have had the opportunity to interact with. Among a host of other tools the group offers, you can also be one of the first to know what training courses we are offering. We invite you to join the group today… click here to join now!

Improved Product: Support Portal Enhanced
The next time you visit the UnionCare Support Portal, you may notice a few subtle differences. With the feedback we received from a few of our top users, UnionWare has been able to enhance our Support Portal to make it a little smoother to use, especially on smaller devices. The Versions tab has also been improved to make it easier to see what features are coming up. This isn’t the end of the road for us though... we have many more enhancements planned for the future! As always, we welcome any ideas you may have on how we can continue to improve and who knows, the next time you sign in, you may see a feature that you suggested.

With a range of interesting discussions you can respond to, photos you can browse and announcements you can read, Facebook has the tools that will allow us to communicate with you even better than we have been. Although we’re not quite ready to unveil the group to you, please feel free to “Request to Join” and as soon as the group is live we will be accepting your requests!

New Service: Focus Groups
Many of our clients have similarities. For instance, we have a large number of SEIU locals who together represent nearly half of all SEIU members. We have a number of clients that represent nurses, a few that represent state employees, teachers, and almost every Canadian provincial government employees union (NUPGE members), etc. There are also similarities that relate to topics including privacy policies, member resource centers, negotiation with employers to provide dues files, change management, etc. To leverage these similarities we are committed to coordinating a series of focused conference calls which bring these groups together to learn from each other. New Service / Product: Standard Operating Procedures
Okay, that sounds a little boring doesn’t it? It gets even less sexy when you use the acronym – SOP. However, sometimes the boring, not so sexy stuff can be the most valuable to you and your organization. SOP’s tell you, and anyone who asks, how you do things. Of course you know how “you” do things but does anyone else? How does a new team member figure it out?… the “learning curve”?... the SOP can drastically shorten that curve. There is little value in experiencing a learning curve when you could just flip through a few pages and be up to speed. Plus, everyone will be following the same steps and that’s worth a lot. We guarantee that you don’t have time to do this… but we do… contact us for more details on our approach, the investment in time, money, and the returns.

New Product: Organizing Module - Launching Summer 2010
Starting this summer "the Power to Organize" will become more than just our tag line. For years we've focused on the administrative side of unions - membership information, dues processing, grievance, event tracking, etc. Now that this foundation is firmly in place we are comfortable to move to higher ground. That higher ground means providing your organizers and field staff with the tools they need to be more effective. The design of the new Organizing Module is now complete and development is well underway. Set to launch at our Summit in June, our new web based Organizing Module will provide incredible flexibility in configuring turf, setting up and managing internal and external campaigns, tracking member assessments, activities, social networks, and much more. And of course, this module is tightly integrated with all other UnionWare modules so your entire organization works off the same page. Stay tuned as we begin to unwrap this exciting new set of tools and truly give you "the Power to Organize".

New Service / Product: Dashboard Email
Our clients are busy, sometimes too busy to use UnionWare! We feel their pain. So, we've embarked on a project to deliver the information they need on a silver platter. In this case the silver platter is an automated email, and the information is key statistics, top 10 lists, point in time comparisons, etc. Over the next few months we will be working with one of our clients in Minnesota to refine the process. Their executive team are already receiving these emails every Sunday, prior to their Monday morning meetings. No need to take time to login to UnionWare. Key decision making info at the ready, without having to ask.
