UnionWare News

Are you using postal codes to locate members?

When you're strategizing and targeting member communications, using a zip or postal code may get you in the neighbourhood but working within areas like electoral districts, ridings, and wards requires more precision. You need latitude and longitude coordinates.

Locate members with PinPoint accuracy

Let's say you want to mobilize members for an upcoming election. Plotting your membership within electoral districts is a critical step in developing a strategy and targeting your message, but using postal / zip codes isn't accurate because the boundaries are different. That's where the PinPoint plug-in comes in. It automatically translates every address in UnionWare to latitude and longitude coordinates. With a precise location for each address, a simple search will show you which members live in specific map areas, such as electoral districts, city wards, or any other defined region.
Any map area can be imported to UnionWare as a KML file. Our growing inventory on the support site is available at no cost or we can customize a map area for you.

On the go with Google maps

With ULink, you can view search results on an interactive Google map to see how members are grouped within a map area. Organizers and reps in the field can drill down to a specific member and get directions right to their door. The responsive design adapts to any screen size.

Get the right message to the right people

The PinPoint plug-in in UnionWare fuels your strategies with valuable insights so you can target your efforts.
