the H U D D L E
An exclusive invitation
to our SEIU clients. --------------------------------------------------------- Over the past year we have noticed many areas of common initiatives, challenges, and requirements among our SEIU clients. In response we have created the HUDDLE. It's a forum where ideas can be shared, problems solved, and innovation can flourish. The HUDDLE is a no fee forum exclusively for UnionWare’s SEIU clients who, by the way, now represent over one million members.
Each HUDDLE will focus on one topic. The first will be Member Resource Centers. There's been a lot of excitement about MRC's and a few of you have already taken the initiative and started your own. Back in 2002 (six years ago) we began our work in this area with the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU). The MGEU coined the term "Resource Center" and continue to be enormously successful with this single point of contact for their members. The following year we worked with another large, 130,000 member, public sector union in conjunction with IBM to set up a larger resource center. Recently we have worked with various SEIU Locals to implement a number of variations of the MRC.
